Elder Ninja Flyboy

hey everyone, my pday got switch to friday. so they're giving us this time today just to tell everyone that we cant talk to you for 5 more days. haha the only difference between this and prison, is they get a phonecall.... haha just kidding.

this past week was crazy. I gave my fourth blessing while being in the mtc on thursday. I had a soccer tournament on friday.... we lost 3-1. but on the plus side... I got mvp. scored the only goal for my team! and then saturday was the most INSANE thing I have ever done with the priesthood. I gave my 5th blessing. And then like 3 hours later, the sister I gave the blessing to on thursday had a panic attack. Her companion called me over so I sprinted down the hall and saw her on the ground unable to breathe. So I just started talking to her and put my hand on her back asked her to do slow, deep breaths. this whole time I'm praying to know what the crap to do with someone in the process of dying. all of a sudden, she started hyperventilating. So I gave her a paper bag and told her to breathe into it. She wouldn't do it so  I just gave up on that idea and started talking to her. I kept her talking while the medics got there and then promised her she'd be perfectly fine because Heavenly Father watched that whole thing and told me what to do...She was at church on Sunday. breathing normal.
sorry this Isn't very long but I'll send another one on Friday. I'm going to send the pictures now...or try. It'll take like 20 emails. I can only send 2 at a time.
      love you all!

Semana 3

hola mi familia! como estan? esta semana es loco... so here was my day yesterday, Woke up at 630, studied till 8, went to breakfast, branch council at 830, priesthood at 1040(which I presided, conducted, and taught.) the lesson seemed to go really well and nobody was asleep at the end so I consider that a success! then I had leadership training at 1200. then lunch at 1300.. then sacrament meeting at 1400.. in which I had to run up and say the blessing on the bread because the Elder saying it messed it up 6 times... of course everything we do is in Spanish so we'll give him the benefit of the doubt. THEN I had a district meeting at 1515, then went on a temple walk at 1630. but wait... there's more... then I had choir at 1715. dinner at 1800. A devotional at 1900. and then we watched the testament from 2000 to 2100. so that my friends is a typical sunday for a zone leader. YAY. oh yeah and I sang in Sacrament meeting! in spanish!

we've had some drama in the zone this week. One sister is about to be sent home if she doesn't straighten up. and one Elder has a problem with recognizing the spirit. Elder Williams and I have been working with him on that one. He seems to be coming along. God doesn't expect perfection, but He's ok with progression.

I figured out the whole picture deal. I just bought a card reader from the bookstore. easy fix. so here's my collection:

they'll be in multiple emails... I love you all! Thank you for all the support!

-Elder Alston

PS. Taylor did not have time to send his pictures...hopefully next week!

First Email Home!

hey everybody. Thanks for all the letters and what nots. It's been a crazy week. Elder Williams and I have given three blessings already while we have been here. Two for sickness and one for comfort.

So on day six, Elder Williams and I were made zone leaders......YAY..... haha stress much? They mean it when they tell you that a mission is the hardest two years. It's been the hardest twelve days of my life. I never knew what homesickness was until April 3, 2013.

I went to the temple last Monday. That was good.  I'm going again today. I see Sean every once in a while. It's mostly just been "hi" "bye" passing each other on the way to class. How did Tasia's party go? I was thinking about her all day..

I have  a bunch of pictures but the computers wont let me upload. It says "cant open file because it is not local". SO... I I dont know what to do about that.

We have two investigators right now. Brenda and Mario. We teach Mario for the first time tomorrow. Brenda has been doing well. we got her to read the BoM. and pray. She said she would pray to know if it's true. We get to follow up on that today. (all lessons are in spanish by the way).

Have a good monday! - Taylor
