May 5, 2014

Well good morning and happy Monday everybody! Hopefully Yall had a good week and converted like 400 people.  Here is the Intel on my week...
Tuesday: Helped someone move from like 8 to 4... that was a LOOONG day. We got free breakfast burritos though:) After the move, we went to dinner and the bishops house, then went and saw a family in our ward that has had their father/husband in the hospital for about a week and a half now. We just played with the kids and tried to get it off their mind. After that, we had a less active lesson. nothin fancy.
Wednesday: we had zone training from 1 to 5. It was really good. Probably one of President's best. then at 6 we had a stake young men/Young women activity. It was really cool. we just talked to all the youth about how we gained a relationship with God.
Friday: we helped someone in the Spanish branch move in the morning then we had a lesson with one of our investigators and a couple less active lessons as well. Then we had a ward BBQ. It was  super fun. We played "minute to win it" games.
Saturday: helped someone clean their apartment and then helped our Ward mission leader change the oil in a couple cars.
I dont know if I've ever done so much service in one week. but I love it! Service is the best! One more thing! please pray for Keith Ferrell. He is the one in the Hospital.. he is on life support and he has 3 kids... He needs to pull through. Thank yall for everything. love you! - Elder Taylor Alston

Captain's log: day 14 of transfer. Still sane. Companion not dead... yet. haha just kidding. how's everyone doing this week? any missionary experiences?
my week was definitely better than the previous.  Elder Stoelk is making progress. Slowly but surely, I'll break him. haha
this week we were able to go to the temple. It couldn't have come at a better time. I wont tell you what exactly happened while I was in there but I will tell you,   I have never had a more firm testimony of the FACT that temples are the house of the Lord and the spirit world is very close to us.
We tend to take for granted that we are able to just go to the temple whenever we want. But I have gained a sincere love and appreciation for the temple as i've been on my mission because we are only able to go every 4 months.
I challenge you to make the temple a priority in your life. it can And it WILL help you with whatever you are going through. it is the best place on earth to receive inspiration and revelation. I promise you.
As far as work goes here in the Pima ward, We had 3 investigators at church and we have an appointment with 2 of them tonight! :) they are pretty golden so far. they have already come to church twice! we had a couple less actives at church yesterday too! so that was cool!
Alright I think that's about it this week. love you guys! keep on keepin on! -Elder Taylor Alston
