December 16, 2014

Hey everyone! It's transfer day again! Elder Call Went ZL in Rincon, and I got Elder Mckenna, he has been out 4 months and he is from Logan Utah. This whole Zone got pretty switched up and there are only a few of us now that are older than a year. It's weird being the oldest one in the zone.... haha my district said they were going to get me a walker and a wheelchair so I don't hurt myself walking to District meeting tomorrow.

This week was pretty fun. We had 4th ward's Christmas party The EAC basketball team came (all of whom are non-members), and they loved it so much they said they want to make it a team tradition! haha It was awesome!
We Spent the last two days going around the wards so Elder Call could say goodbye to everyone, so we have been pretty busy.

Oh! Brianna is wanting to get baptized on the 31st! So we will see how that goes. And John continues to be a 16 year old kid. haha He ditched seminary on Friday, so we weren't able to see him. But we are still trying!
Well.. I guess its quote time! Here it is.

December 8, 2014

Well, I suppose it's that time o' week again, ain't  it?

This week was a pretty good testimony builder for me. We met a less-active family, The Phillips. We got to know them a little bit, talked about guns and gear for a couple minutes, And then we got spiritual. I really wish every one of you could've been in there. That was one of the most inspired lessons I've ever taught. The whole time, all we were doing was asking inspired questions. and I was able to bear testimony stronger than I ever have in my entire life. The spirit was so strong, that after the lesson, I couldn't stand up to leave. Anyway, throughout that lesson, we were able to discern needs and find their concern for not going to church.

Yesterday, I was standing at the door of the chapel greeting people, and guys who walked in? The Phillips family! I was so happy! Its lessons/experiences like that one, that inspire me to keep going. My testimony has become so solidified, I could never deny the reality of this gospel. I love serving, I love my Savior, I love this area, and I love all of you. Thank you for everything. I couldn't do this without you.

Thanks again everyone. Keep on keepin on. Love, Elder Taylor Alston

One of my best mission friends and in my opinion the best AP this mission has ever seen. Elder Dalling. He is going home in two weeks so he came down to Thatcher to do an exchange.

I love my area...so beautiful.

The Rogers! Remember them?? I called you guys from their house last Christmas . They are related to my ward mission leader in the 7th ward and were over for Thanksgiving dinner!
